SCHOOL MENUS
The Maria L. Varisco-Rogers Charter School participates in the State School Lunch/School Breakfast Program. Nutritious meals are served
every school day. All meals served must meet patterns established by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture.
Students may qualify for free or reduced-price meals. One family application must be submitted each year listing every child in the family.
It is important that the application is submitted whether or not you think you qualify. This is for two reasons, the
first being it is a requirement from the State of NJ that we have these applications on file for all children attending our school. The second being, this year we will be receiving our
breakfast and lunch from a new distributor. Maschio's Food Services Inc. will be using the applications to calculate the amount of students receiving breakfast and lunch this year.
Questions regarding free and reduced-priced meals should be directed to the administration office at
(973) 481-9001.
Breakfast and lunch monies can be prepaid and put into your child's account in the cafeteria. Money Order is accepted and should be made out to Maria L. Varisco-Rogers Charter School
indicating that is for Food Services. The money remains in the student account and may be used for any meal during the year. Your child's account can be replenished at any time to
avoid a negative balance. If you have any additional questions about the menu or food service in general, please ask the cafeteria manager at the administration office site who is always
willing to answer any questions about their program.
PERSONAL CHECKS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. ONLY MONEY ORDER OR CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED. YOU MUST OBTAIN A RECEIPT IN THE ADMINISTRATION
OFFICE WHEN PAYMENT IS ISSUED.
